Mismatched Bridesmaids

Bridal party style is one of my favorite things to look at when seeing weddings. More and more today, brides are going away from the traditional matchy-matchy identical bridesmaids dresses and opting for different, more unique, flattering styles and shades of colors that go with their scheme and really add that pop to their wedding. Depending on you and your wedding style, there's a couple different ways to pull of the mismatched look, while still looking cohesive and put together. I've gather a few examples of different ways to achieve the non matching look.

1. Same color, different styles - This is the closest to being traditional, and will always look classy and put together. Having different styles allows every bridesmaid to choose a figure flattering dress, while still matching the other girls. This is the safest way to go, while still being a bit different.
2. Same style, different colors - This way is also pretty close to traditional, because the dresses are the exact same. The colors really play off each other and give a unique look, but will still look cohesive and is bound to match.
3. Same color family - This one is probably my favorite way to accomplish the mismatched look. I'm a sucker for anything monochromatic and in shades. Holla, ombre everything. This can also be done in multiple ways. Having identical dresses, just in different shades, or different shades of different styles of dresses. I think this still looks put together, but is just different enough to give interest and fun. I've seen a lot of this in blush / cream /pastel shades and I think it looks lovely.
4. Different colors & styles - This is definitely the most nontraditional of the spectrum, and can sometimes be difficult to pull off. Doesn't it look fun though? You don't want your bridal party to look like they just showed up in a random dress to your wedding, so being sure they stay on point to your color scheme is crucial. Sometimes a clashy color in the mix can throw off the entire look. Try going for identical accessories, like matching shoes, necklaces and bouquets to tie all the differences together so it doesn't look to wild.
